I know, I know, my car’s engine is a big fuel leak in itself, but I also had a real one, which I discovered trying to do a beer run just 1 hour ago. 30 minutes and a new high pressure hose later (the one from the gas tank to the fuel pump), the fuel leak is gone!
I’ve mended something!! Vive moi!

Was that a 2JZ-swapped FD in the picture? I’m sad by the swap and more-sad by the fire. :(

Could be yes... looks like it. I just googled “burnt RX7" on google randomly :)

If the lovely curves of the door weren’t a give away, the strut mounts and forward frame supports were. I need to get another FD before they become unobtainium. :(
Congrats of fixing the leak — I had a comically tragic run-in with a fuel leak that almost claimed my old Scirocco. Has made me very-cautious in respect to hose and hardline condition and quality.

I don’t know where you’re from, but there is still a shit load here and nobody wants them so... :)

America, the land of the free. Free from the burden of cool Japanese cars. :(

I wonder if I have a fuel leak. My car gets terrible MPGs and they seem to be getting worse.

Well, you will be able to start importing 1991 models this year :)

Well just let it idle for a bit and look under. :)

If it’s bad enough, you’ll see it don’t worry haha

It is insane here; I sold my 94' without an engine for $7k a few years ago. I’m hoping the interest has waned a bit given the ease of access to the likes of the S2K, BMW, and Nissans with conventional engines to make finding a clean example in need of a rebuild a cost-effective option. I should have kept it but I was in the process of moving and had two running cars and a motorcycle weighing me down already, a fourth inoperable one just didn’t make sense to lug from place-to-place. :/

Here you can get good ones like this one, for about 4800$ with registration and basic insurance included for 2 years... This one has 60000 miles for exemple... I paid quite a bit more for my turbo sa22c, but it’s not the same potential investment either...
